Sahar Okasha is one of the top belly dance costume designers in Egypt to day.  Her mother was a well known dress maker the in world of haut couture in Egypt, and later worked for the Royal Saudi Arabian Family. In 1988, Sahar Okasha started to assist her mother. During her apprentice years she became versed in the finer art of dress making. She started her career by designing and executing costumes for various television programs. It was during that time that her interest in belly dance costumes grew. She realized that a whole new and fresh approach to the making of costumes was needed, both in their designs and workmanship. She began to produce costumes that were elegant, well made, always using the highest quality fabrics and accessories.

In a short time Sahar Okasha became the favorite designer of the top belly dancers of Egypt. She now has a fashion House. She has become a trend setter in the field of belly dance costumes. Her styles are always imitated by other costume makers, who wait eagerly to copy for her forthcoming innovations.

Sahar's gift lies in her understanding of the female figure, and her artistry lies is her ability to create costumes that enhances the beautiful qualities of each dancer .She is well known for her precision, and her costumes  very rarely need alteration. Especially those ordered for dancers abroad.
